Veolia Water Trust
Veolia Water Trust

The Veolia Water Trust is a registered charity (number 1128398) which aims to help people take control of their finances by reducing the burden of their debts and helping them meet their future bills.

The Trust operates through donations from Veolia Water Central, Veolia Water East and Veolia Water Southeast. The Veolia Water Trust results from a consolidation and renaming of the Three Valleys Water Trust.

Grants are available to help individuals and families living within England + Wales who are in need, to clear domestic water debts. In exceptional circumstances other grants can also be awarded to help clear other priority debts, including energy debts, and purchase essential household items.

On 1 April 2011, the Veolia Water Trust ceased to operate a Provisional Award Scheme. Instead, grants are awarded immediately following a successful assessment.

Applications identified with a sewerage debt to Thames Water will automatically be copied to the Thames Water Trust to be assessed for a grant to clear the sewerage debt to Thames Water.

The Trust is governed by a board of independent, voluntary trustees who have entered into an agreement for the administration of the charity with Charis Grants Limited, a company that exists to facilitate charitable and corporate giving by designing, developing and managing a range of services in support of vulnerable members of society.
